The scenes between Hoffman and ThoMpson are so good that even when you must use predictable dialogue, which bring a certain magic to the screen. In Last Chance Harvey, both Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson do just that. The first meeting between the two does not go well, but they connect later. Both winners were nominated to the Oscar Golden Globe for their performances recently, as, respectively, Harvey Shore a jingle writer from New York, and Kate Walker, an employee at Heathrow. Sometimes great players can take a mediocre screenplay and apply their talent enough to make things interesting. It is a great joy to watch the actors to work together.
